Okay, it’s been an extremely long time since this blog has been updated. So, a quick recap would show that the final score was 5 girls and 2 boys. Well, we are happy announce that the boys made a phenomenal comeback in overtime, to put another point on the scoreboard and make it 5 girls to 3 boys. Go boys!

What a great time with Russ and Sandy in town and all of Anthony’s family around. Some highlights included a surprise Segway tour of Disney’s California Adventure and the big gift for the kids was a trampoline that was donated by the Jameson’s.

Valerie turns 8

The night before her actual birthday, Valerie celebrated her birthday with her family and a special “Tea” cake made by mom. On Monday, her real birthday, it was high tea time.

Keely celebrates her birthday

Another eventful year: the birth of our 5th child, serving in the church by cooking meals for those in need, singing and dancing for the children’s worship ministry, playing in two women’s volleyball leagues, and the list goes on.

On her birthday, Keely enjoyed, breakfast in bed with her favorite tea (English breakfast), her favorite Chinese food, at Wei’s, for lunch, and her favorite cake (Snickerdoodle) after dinner with the Bunko gang (pictured).

Grandma comes to help out

Ian at 2 weeks old

Ian slept for a 5 hour block of time last night. He is so peaceful when held and seems content to be still and take in his surroundings.

He appeared to have clogged tear duct in his right eye for a couple of days but that has now cleared up.

He’s opening his eyes and looking around. Other favorite things to do: eat, sleep and soil diapers.

Ian Anthony is born!

God has blessed us with a son! We are so happy to welcome Ian to our family.

He was born at 7:18 AM after a rather different labor from his sisters.

Valerie started off with a 12 hours of hard labor, Emily was 6 hours (broke water in car on the way to the hospital), Stephanie was 3 hours, Natalie was 1-1/2 hours. Ian didn’t seem to have the same consistent contraction patterns seen in the others; they were infrequent and short (10-15 seconds). When we went to the hospital we were surprised to find that Keely was already 7 cm dilated. Her water broke shortly after, and within 1-1/2 hours Ian came out into the world with 2 pushes.
